Drive On, Until I Get There

Okay, it's starting to sink in how badly I need to get this dissertation under control. Unless I get it mostly done over the summer, the job market--dealing with applications, not to mention my actual job prospects--is really going to suck. (Plus, my supervisor would probably sell me to to a Saudi sheik to be turned into a harem eunuch, and then he'd blow the money on next year's prospective grad students.)

So, my pledge. I will not read the new Harry Potter book until I have at least four chapters drafted.
